Truro
Visited Thu 13 July
Weather becoming seriously hot! Built 1880-1910 (consecrated 1887) to serve the "new" Cornish diocese of Truro - the first English cathedral since St Paul's in London (late 1600s) and the first to be built on a new site since Salisbury in the 1200s. Incorporates half the old parish church as a side chapel (nearest part of the pic above). Surprisingly, no free leaflet for visitors but the steward found an out-of-print Italian one for me. Hope I've understood the info correctly!
