St Mary's Hall Appeal

Southwark

Visited Wed 31 May

Became a cathedral in 1905. Tucked away between a railway viaduct and London Bridge, I rode straight past first time. Had emailed ahead and looked up the Visitors' Officer, David Payne, on arrival. Given a cup of coffee in the refectory! Gave impromptu interview to freelance journalist who was on duty as volunteer steward. Cathedral tardis-like - seemed small from outside but "full-sized" within.
