St Mary's Hall Appeal

15th c parish church which became cathedral in 1919. East end rebuilt and extended in early 1960s "to add the space and dignity befitting a cathedral". Somehow seemed unconvincing, perhaps because away from town centre so not a place to "drop in" to; evidently not much visited. Also little sign of the buzz of activity often found in cathedrals.
