Awe-inspiring Norman (Romanesque) edifice. Nave, quire and transepts were completed by 1133. Fantastic massive columns, deeply engraved with geometric patterns, supporting roof of nave and quire. Given special dispensation to park bike on Palace Green for photo; greeted by steward with "Are you The Vicar?"! Stayed for Evening Prayer (sadly no choir during Easter Week).
