Carlisle

Second smallest cathedral in England - only Christ Church Oxford is smaller, apparently. All because Carlisle lost most of its nave, which was demolished in the 19th century when it had become very dilapidated. Magnificent Canons’ stalls from early 1400s, behind which are several painted screens (c1490) with stories of lives of saints.
