Nottingham

Began with my local C of E cathedral at Southwell; completed those in the "north" with Nottingham, even closer to home. Typified the best of Catholic cathedrals - quiet, prayerful atmosphere with several people using the church for its intended purpose. A party of schoolchildren were being shown round by their teacher as I left. Very striking Blessed Sacrament Chapel, richly decorated in best Victorian Gothic, a riot of colour.
