Very Victorian after the modernity of Liverpool and the simplicity of Salford. Decorations renewed 1995 with reordering in accordance with Vatican 2 principles - central altar etc. Shown around by John, Captain of bellringers (10 bells, unusual for a Catholic church?). Victorian canons’ stalls have misericords, one of which depicts boy getting six of the best!
