All my sponsors have paid up!!! Apart from one, who has moved away. I'm sure they needn't have done - I'd have released them from their promise!
Slide Show - I have put together a slide show of "All the Cathedrals of England" using PowerPoint, lasting about 75 minutes in two halves, and I charge a minimum of £50 plus expenses (towards the Hall Appeal of course). If anyone would like to book me for the show, just email me on neilweston@ntlworld.com. Best for an audience of 12-50.
I'm also working on another, shorter slide show focusing not on the cathedrals but on the bike tour. This is intended for 20-minute slots at Rotary clubs (such as my own) and the like. Contact me for details.
In case this is your first visit to my pages, at each cathedral (where possible) I took pictures inside and out and bought a leather book mark and a post card. I also collected the free visitors' leaflets available at most cathedrals. These are contained in 3 display albums which accompany the slide show.
I tried to identify and take a picture of an "oddity" at each cathedral for the slide show - some peculiarity, humorous if possible, like the WC in the death-bed scene in the stained glass window at Oxford...
Finally, many thanks to Sally Williams who's kept the website up to date, and she's done a fantastic job as I'm sure you'd agree!
The website probably won't change much now, but will be left for a while for people to see if they hear about the Tour after the event.
